Combine a beautiful, traditional wedding with classic Rock n’ Roll at the Hard Rock Café, Orlando. Located in Universal’s vibrant City Walk, this venue offers wonderful views of a sparkling lake and Universal’s theme parks.

For those that love music and don’t wish to settle for an average wedding, this is the perfect place to marry. The Hard Rock Café features two fantastic locations to pronounce your vows; choose from the outdoor terrace which overlooks Universal Orlando and City Walk, or you can choose the spectacular John Lennon Suite - a replica of his Manhattan Apartment.

We offer the choice of two wedding packages; Our Classic Wedding features one hour of unique professional photography in and around the cafe, as well as exclusive use of the Lennon Suite for four hours, a wedding coordinator and up to fifteen seats for guests. If you celebrate with our Premier Wedding, you’ll be treated to freshly cut roses, a white stretch limo, professional hair & makeup for the bride, wedding cake and a champagne toast for up to fifteen people.

Wedding Days and Times

Weddings performed Monday - Thursday 10am, 11am, Noon, 1pm and 2pm on the John Lennon Terrace. January - June & September - April. During July and August the venue offers weddings inside the John Lennon Room due to the heat.

For those that love music, there is no better place than the Hard Rock Cafe -

Exclusive use of the Lennon Suite for 2 hour total use  (No confetti is permitted at this location).  You can choose from having your wedding outside on the terrace overlooking Universal Orlando and City Walk or you can have it inside then John Lennon Suite itself. It is a replica of his Manhattan Apartment. Follow the ceremony we can do with cake and champagne toast and some unique photography in and around the cafe.

Travel Times

There are no parking facilities at the Hard Rock Cafe. Couples should either arrive by taxi or limo and be dropped at Celebrity Circle (nearest drop off to Universal and Hard Rock Café) or park in the main Universal Parking Garage and walk over to the Hard Rock Cafe.

Additional Information

At least 24 hours before your wedding day you need to apply for a Florida marriage licence.  This is a very simple process which you can complete as a couple together either by attending a local courthouse once you arrive, or by mail prior to your arrival in Florida. The cost of the wedding licence is not included in the cost of your wedding package.  The cost of the licence is US$93.50

Our packages are designed for up to 25 people (over 15 people please add a further $20.00 per person - this covers seating and a glass of champagne).  Exclusive use of the Lennon Suite for 2 hour total use  (1/2 hour each end for set up and clean up). 1 hour ceremony.

  • Minimum residency period prior to marriage: No minimum required (though valid wedding license required)
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Weddings take place: Monday – Thursday (unless specified)

Residency

You do not need to be a resident of Florida to apply for a marriage licence. No minimum residency applies to overseas couples. (I.e. you are not required to be in Florida for a minimum number of days.)

Age - You should be 18 years and older to apply for a marriage licence.

Prior Marriage - Persons who were previously married and divorced need to bring their decree absolute with them to the courthouse as they will need to supply the date their last marriage ended.

Application and Fee - As a couple you now have the choice of courthouses to apply for your marriage licence in person Orange County, Osceola and Lake Country. Applications are accepted between 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday, except for Bank Holidays. Applications can also be arranged vis mail prior to your arrival in Florida.

The current fee for a marriage licence is $93.50 Orange County, $103.50 Osceola County, payable by visa, MasterCard or cash $93.50 Lake Country payable by cash only.

Documentation required by the Courthouse

Couples will require the following necessary documents

  • Passports
  • Birth Certificates (either full one or short one - UK couples)
  • Decree Absolute (if divorced)
  • And any other relevant paperwork such as change documents (widower’s certificate, change of name etc.).

Failure to produce correct documentation may result in having to delay the wedding pending the correct documents being presented.

The Marriage Licence

The marriage licence is valid for 60 days from the day of issue. The Marriage licence has to be shown to the Notary or Minister prior to the ceremony, to ensure all legal requirements have been fulfilled. The Notary or Minister will then be responsible for posting the Marriage licence back to the courthouse to have it validated. This will become the official Marriage Certificate. This process should take between 4 – 6 weeks and will be posted directly back to the couple’s home address.
