This tour combines the natural wonders of eastern Canada with the magnificent Niagara Falls, Montréal, Toronto and Ottawa and some of the USA’s most historic and exciting cities of Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC and New York City.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 - ARRIVE TORONTO.

Make your way from Toronto International Airport using your complimentary transfer to the tour hotel where your Tour Director will greet you and answer any questions. Join us at 6 p.m. for a Welcome Reception at the Toronto Hilton hotel.

DAY 2 - TORONTO & NIAGARA FALLS EXCURSION.

Ride to the top of the CN Tower for spectacular views and take in the sights of Ontario’s Parliament buildings, Queen’s Park and museum row. Then it’s on to Niagara Falls with a spectacular cruise on the Maid of the Mist cruise boat. You can browse the shops and galleries of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto for dinner at the Hilton hotel.

DAY 3 - TORONTO - OTTAWA.

We visit the city of Kingston, Canada’s original capital, where you will receive an orientation tour. We then move on to Ottawa and visit the Canadian Museum of Civilisation. In the evening, we travel by giant canoe to a traditional native Canadian camp on Turtle Island to sample a feast and be entertained by traditional dancing. You then retire to the comfort of the Lord Elgin Hotel.

DAY 4 - OTTAWA - MONTREAL.

After an orientation tour of Ottawa with its stately boulevards, tulip-filled gardens, the Parliament, the Royal Canadian Mint, City Hall and the National Art Gallery, we move on to the French-speaking province of Quebec. We arrive in Montreal where you’ll receive another locally guided tour covering the grand mansions of Mount Royal to the modern downtown area and the magnificent Notre Dame basilica. We then adjourn to the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel for the overnight stay.

DAY 5 - MONTREAL - QUEBEC CITY.

We start the day with a special breakfast at Montreal’s Museum of Archaeology and History before continuing to Quebec City, overnighting at the Hilton Quebec hotel.

DAY 6 - QUEBEC CITY SIGHTSEEING.

An experienced guide leads you through Quebec City and we then visit the shrine of Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré and the Montmorency Falls before returning to our hotel. In the evening, you have the option of joining your Tour Director for dinner at the famous revolving rooftop restaurant, L’Astral.

DAY 7 - QUEBEC CITY - BAR HARBOR.

We say ‘au revoir’ to Quebec and cross the US border, travelling east toward the Atlantic Coast for New England fishing village of Bar Harbor, Maine and the charming Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina.

DAY 8 - BAR HARBOR - ACADIA EXCURSION.

We take in the natural beauty of Acadia National Park, with its dramatic rocky shoreline, beaver lodges and spectacular views from the top of Cadillac Mountain. You can explore Bar Harbor on your own in the afternoon, take an optional nature cruise or go whale watching, before feasting on a traditional Maine lobster dinner.

DAY 9 - BAR HARBOR - BOSTON.

Motoring south again along Maine shoreline, we stop in picturesque Kennebunkport to soak up typical New England life. Relax as we cruise past Portsmouth en route to Boston, Massachusetts where we’ll overnight in the Omni Parker House hotel.

DAY 10 - BOSTON SIGHTSEEING.

Wake up in Boston, one of America’s oldest and most historic cities. Join your Tour Director for a trip along the Freedom Trail, viewing Beacon Hill, Faneuil Hall, Charlestown, Bunker Hill Pavilion and the meeting house where the Boston Tea Party was plotted. The afternoon is free for exploring the beautiful gardens, visiting a museum or exploring the charming North End of the city at your own pace. For dinner, choose from a selection of excellent Boston restaurants.

DAY 11 - BOSTON - PHILADELPHIA.

Philadelphia – the City of Brotherly Love and birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. We explore Independence National Historic Park, visit the Liberty Bell and view Independence Hall before checking into the Sheraton Society Hill hotel.

DAY 12 - PHILADELPHIA - WASHINGTON DC.

We tour the National Constitution Center before continuing to Washington DC. The afternoon is yours: a visit to one of the Smithsonian museums, the Kennedy Center, or a stroll through historic Georgetown. We then check in to the Renaissance Washington DC hotel.

DAY 13 - WASHINGTON DC.

See Capitol Hill and the White House on a guided city tour that also includes the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials and the WWII and Vietnam Veterans Memorials. In Arlington, we board the narrated Tourmobile and visit the National Cemetery. The rest of the day is free.

DAY 14 - WASHINGTON DC - NEW YORK CITY.

We head off for the Big Apple where your orientation tour includes Times Square, Broadway and Battery Park. The afternoon is free to enjoy the many sights or do some last-minute shopping. In the evening, join your Tour Director for a farewell dinner at a New York restaurant before checking in to the sumptuous Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers.

DAY 15 - DEPART NEW YORK CITY.

Your tour comes to an end with a complimentary transfer to JFK International Airport.
