Petit Ermitage

Overview

Step inside the gates of Petit Ermitage and you’re immediately transported from the sleek pavement of West Hollywood into a dreamscape of velvet, flickering candlelight, and sun-drenched gardens.

This property boasts an unrivalled character that sets it apart from the ordinary. Every corner tells a story through hand-carved antiques and a sprawling private art collection that rivals local galleries.

The true heart of the property beat on its legendary rooftop, a sprawling Mediterranean oasis that is strictly guarded for the privacy of its guests. This sanctuary in the sky is recognized as a National Wildlife Federation Butterfly Sanctuary, where hummingbirds dart between native flora and the saltwater pool remains warmed to a perfect temperature regardless of the season. As the sun begins to dip below the Los Angeles horizon, the rooftop transforms into a social salon. The Garden Brasserie offers a culinary experience rooted in the "Bohemian Diet," emphasizing fresh, vibrant ingredients that are enjoyed under a canopy of stars and fairy lights.

As night falls, the Fireplace Lounge becomes a hub for hushed conversations and the clinking of crystal, while the outdoor sunken fireplace provides a cozy vantage point to watch the city lights flicker in the distance.

Petit Ermitage is centrally located on a residential side street within West Hollywood, and within a 10-minute walk of the Sunset Strip to the north and Santa Monica Boulevard to the south. Beverly Hills is also a 5-minute drive away, and less than a mile from the shopping district on Melrose Avenue.

The property offers 79 individually styled suites characterized by a curated, bohemian aesthetic.

Choose from:

  • Demi Suites: These are the standard entry-level suites, averaging about 350 square feet. They include a queen or king bed, a writing desk, and a fireplace. Some configurations offer a kitchenette or a small balcony.
  • Junior Suites: Slightly larger at approximately 450 square feet, these suites typically feature a sunken living area with a sofa bed and a fireplace. Many include private balconies.
  • Executive Suites: These 550-square-foot units offer a more spacious layout with a king bed and a dedicated living area. Some versions include a kitchenette.
  • One-Bedroom Suites: At roughly 650 square feet, these are the largest standard offerings. They feature a separate bedroom with a king bed, a convertible sofa bed in the living room, and often include a full kitchenette or wet bar.
  • Grand Belle Suites: These are themed or premium suites, such as the Grand Belle Bleue or Belle de Jour. They range from 450 to 550 square feet and often emphasize specific design elements, city views, or enhanced amenities like personal butler service.

Dining at Petit Ermitage is centred around its Private Rooftop Club, an exclusive space reserved for hotel guests and members. The food follows a "California Mediterranean" theme, utilizing organic ingredients often sourced from the hotel’s own rooftop garden.

  • The Garden: This is the primary outdoor restaurant, set within a lush butterfly and hummingbird sanctuary. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • The Butterfly Bar: Adjacent to the garden, this bar focuses on "spirited love potions" and craft cocktails made with market-fresh ingredients. It features a bohemian design with mismatched furniture and hand-painted art.
  • The Firedeck: A sunken outdoor lounge area with a fireplace where guests can order light bites and drinks. On Monday nights, this area typically hosts "Rooftop Cinema" screenings with fresh popcorn and themed cocktails.
  • Masters Lounge: A more intimate, indoor bar area located on the rooftop level, often used for live music, cabaret performances, or quiet afternoon drinks.
  • In-Suite Dining: The full restaurant menu is available for room service 24 hours a day.

Please note: A resort fee of approximately $50 per night may be required, payable locally.
