This premium tour is really the best way to appreciate the spectacle of the autumn colours and to experience the charm of New England. You will stay at the Von Trapp Family Lodge, the place the real-life Von Trapp family of the Sound of Music called home after they fled Austria, and here you will enjoy a three course dinner paired with tastings of Trapp Lager.

You’ll be treated to the sensational views of Vermont, the White Mountains and the Maine coast, as well as some amazing experiences such as museum visits, sampling regional culinary favourites and aerial views of the picturesque White Mountains. Day 1

Boston

Upon arrival, transfer to your downtown hotel and perhaps take a stroll to the Downtown Crossing or the Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. In the evening, head back to the hotel for a welcome dinner

Day 2

Boston - Williamstown

Discover some of Boston’s famous sights as you stroll along part of the historic Freedom Trail. From here, travel west to Stockbridge to visit the Norman Rockwell Museum and admire the colourful scenery, before heading to the rolling hills of the Berkshires to your boutique hotel in Williamstown.

Day 3

Williamstown - Stowe

Leave Massachusetts today to travel through the renowned fall foliage of Vermont. Take a photo stop at Quechee Gorge then visit the Rockefellers’ Billings Farm and Museum which is a working dairy and farm life museum. Visit the typically Vermont village of Woodstock then wander through the quaint town of Stowe for your two-night stay. In the evening, enjoy a highlight dinner where each of the three courses is paired with a lager tasting from the resort’s on-site microbrewery.

Day 4

Vermont

After a relaxed start, admire the stunning scenery which is filled with autumnal colours as you enjoy the views of Vermont’s tallest peak – Mount Mansfield. Visit the Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory for a guided tour and some samples. Head back to Stowe and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5

Stowe - North Conway

Visit the Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks to taste a Vermont tradition – ‘sugar on snow’, which is maple syrup served with a doughnut and pickle! From here, head to the White Mountains of New Hampshire and enter Franconia Notch. Take a ride on the aerial tram for amazing views then journey through the vibrant hues of the famous Kancamagus Scenic Byway for two nights in North Conway.

Day 6

White Mountains

Enjoy an interpretive presentation this morning by a local naturalist on the North Woods’ wildlife and ecology then journey through Crawford Notch for more of the stunning fall foliage. Take some pictures at the Silver Cascade Waterfall and Bretton Woods, looking out onto Mount Washington, then return to your hotel for an evening of leisure.

Day 7

North Conway - Maine Coast - Portland

Depart from New Hampshire today and enter the dense green forests of western Maine. At Kennebunkport, travel along Ocean Drive and be treated to the amazing views of the Maine coastline, including the opulent homes of the rich and famous. Stop off to browse the shops and galleries before arriving in Portland for a Celebration dinner in a harbour-side restaurant in the evening.

Overnight: Westin Portland Harbourview (Breakfast and dinner with wine included)

Day 8

Portland - Boston

Leave Portland, and en route stop at the charming Nubble Lighthouse before arriving at Boston Logan International Airport.
