Day 1
Salt Lake City
Arrive in Salt Lake City, where you’ll proceed to your hotel and enjoy some time on your own in the afternoon to either relax or explore your surroundings. In the evening, meet your fellow travellers at 6pm for a welcome party where you’ll meet with your tour guide at the hotel.

Day 2
Salt Lake City – Jackson
Today, head north and enter Wyoming for your first encounter with the triumphant Rocky Mountains. Follow trails blazed by the mountain men of centuries ago. Stop at the Oregon Trail Centre in Montpelier for a closer glimpse of the thrills and challenges the Old Trail provides, and then enjoy lunch in a covered wagon before crossing the trail into Jackson. Take a step back in time as you walk through the town’s landmark arch of tangled elk antlers as you explore the Town Square. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3
Jackson – Grand Teton National Park – Togwotee Mountain Lodge
Today sees you rise early and journey down to the Snake River for an optional fun and educational wilderness float trip (seasonal). Later on, discover the dramatic Grand Teton National Park and its equally stunning Jenny Lake then onwards to Montana’s Big Sky Country to settle in at a classic 1923 homestead. In the evening, feast upon a regional meal with your group.

Day 4
Togwotee Mountain Lodge – Yellowstone National Park
There’s a choice of optional excursions this morning, with the chance to join a whitewater rafting trip or a float trip down the Gallatin River, or take a horse-riding trip in the Montana wilderness. After lunch at the ranch, head onwards to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Centre in West Yellowstone before entering one of the most famous national parks in the world – Yellowstone.

Day 5
Yellowstone National Park
Spend the day sightseeing and exploring in Yellowstone National Park, discovering its many natural wonders such as Yellowstone Falls, the bubbling mud pools and Old Faithful. The incredible sights, sounds and experiences of today will create memories that will last a lifetime – this awe-inspiring park is one of America’s best-loved due to its breath-taking vistas and unspoiled iconic landmarks. You’ll join a local specialist for a guided walk around the boardwalks of the park to learn about the wildlife and geology of your surroundings.

Day 6
Yellowstone National Park – Cody – Sheridan
Bid farewell to Yellowstone this morning to journey east towards Cody, named for its most famous inhabitant, Buffalo Bill. Dive into the fascinating history of the American West at the Buffalo Bill Centre of the West and discover all about the culture of the cowboy and Plains Indians. From here, make your way to Sheridan to check-in at your hotel and relax.

Day 7
Sheridan – Keystone – Rapid City
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast then continue your journey to South Dakota to visit the Crazy Horse Memorial which stands as a tribute to the legendary Lakota leader Crazy Horse, carved into the mountain. The evening is free to explore Keystone at leisure or to take an optional trip to the Mount Rushmore Lighting Ceremony for a chance to see the landmark from a different perspective.

Day 8
Rapid City and Black Hills
Today head to the Black Hills of South Dakota and Mount Rushmore – one of the most recognisable attractions in America that took around 400 artisans 14 years to produce. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner featuring an American Indian dancer with your group.

Day 9
Rapid City or Denver
After breakfast, transfer to the Rapid City Regional Airport or to Denver International Airport for your departing flight.
