Stone Street Gardens is lined with bistros, pubs and restaurants, connecting Main to Elm Street in the downtown area. Dallas is known for its excellent barbecue, Mexican-inspired and Tex-Mex cuisine. Barbecue is an obsession in Dallas and every restaurant claims to have the best recipe going. There is never a shortage of nightlife in Dallas and highlight Knox-Henderson is a street split by its name and by its attractions. The Knox side offers great shopping and charming restaurants while Henderson is the bustling side offering nightclubs and trendy bistros.

When to go to Dallas

Holidays in Dallas are best enjoyed in the dry and warmest months of July and August when temperatures average 23°C to 36°C. Dallas is generally hot and humid and can be prone to storms at certain times of the year, but enjoys a rainfall average of only two inches.

The four-star Wildcatter Ranch Hotel is located 90 miles north-west of Forth Worth, the ranch sits in some 1,500 acres of beautiful country and offers pony-trekking, clay pigeon shooting and other outdoor activities. The 3*+ Crowne Plaza Market Centre Hotel is a cheaper option and is centrally-located, a great base from which to explore the city.
