Day 1
Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage and spend the afternoon settling in and getting your bearings. This evening you will meet with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception dinner.

Day 2
Anchorage – Denali National Park
Start your day with a quick Anchorage City Tour, followed by a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Explore 10,000 years of Indigenous culture through art, dance, exhibits, traditional dwellings, and films. Dive deeper on an Indigenous Plants Tour to learn about the nutritional and medicinal uses of local flora. Spend the evening at your leisure.

Day 3
Denali National Park
This morning, a Local Specialist introduces you to the unique subarctic flora and fauna of Denali National Park and Preserve. With the park just a short drive from your hotel, you can explore the Alaskan wilderness on your own or join optional activities. At the heart of the park stands Denali, North America’s highest peak, surrounded by 6 million acres of tundra, boreal forest, and ice-capped mountains—pure nature offering something for everyone.

Day 4
Denali National Park – Fairbanks
Spend the morning soaking in the stunning Denali landscape at your own pace. Later, board a deluxe dome railcar on the Alaska Railroad and journey to Fairbanks, the Golden Heart City. Enjoy a delicious meal aboard the train as you travel to Alaska’s Northern Lights capital.

Day 5
Fairbanks
After breakfast, take a city tour of Fairbanks, then step back into Alaska’s Gold Rush era with the Gold Daughters, learning to pan for real Alaskan gold. Wrap up the day by Connecting With Locals at the home of David Monson, a Dog Mushing celebrity, and enjoy a Be My Guest experience meeting him and his dogs while learning about this iconic Alaskan sport.

Day 6
Fairbanks – Valdez
Travel south to the port town of Valdez along Prince William Sound, passing the snow-capped peaks of the Alaska Range. Stretch your legs with stops at Meier’s Lake Roadhouse Lodge, a historic traveler’s crossroads, and the Wrangell-St. Elias Visitors Center before reaching Valdez.

Day 7
Valdez
This morning we visit the Valdez Museum to learn all about the culture and heritage of Valdez. Have your camera ready for spotting otters, seals and sea lions as you cruise around Prince William Sound. Enjoy lunch against the breathtaking scenery of the ice cliffs and icebergs of Columbia Glacier.

Day 8
Valdez – Anchorage
Continuing west across the Thompson Pass on your way to Anchorage today, one of the snowiest places in Alaska. This afternoon stop off at the Musk Ox Farm for a guided tour with a local specialist to view the Artic Musk Oxen, and learn on its sustainable agriculture practice. This evening you’ll join your new found friends in Anchorage to talk about your adventures over a farewell dinner.

Day 9
Anchorage – Seaward – Kenai Fjords
This morning, travel along the Scenic Seward Byway to the port town of Seward. Stop for a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where a Local Specialist explains the work of this wildlife rehabilitation hub. Then enjoy a sightseeing cruise with lunch through Kenai Fjords National Park, spotting humpback whales and glacial icebergs along the way.

Depart Anchorage
Enjoy a morning at leisure before making your way independently to the airport.
