Overview

The first hotel to be built on Hawaii (or Big) Island, and now extensively refurbished, the delightful Mauna Kea Beach Hotel offers a true insight into the chilled, tropical Hawaiian lifestyle, blending traditional Hawaiian décor with a modern twist.

Nestled on the incredible white sands of Kauna’oa Bay, this stylish resort was created to conform to the landscape’s natural beauty, using the warm sands, turquoise waters and soaring Mountain Kea as inspiration for both its vibrant look, and its tranquil ambience.

With a warm welcome and friendly service, you’ll feel like you’re staying in a luxurious home away from home, with wonderful oceanfront rooms and suites giving you an incredible view of the surrounding sceneries. Tuck in to authentic Hawaiian cuisine, and join in with a traditional Luau with fantastic hula and fire dancing – this resort certainly puts on a show.

Catering for families and couples alike, there’s plenty here to keep you entertained should you wish to take a break from soaking up the sun on the beach. From thrilling water sports and recreational tours, to fun Hawaiian cultured activities like coconut weaving and lei-making and moonlight stand-up paddle boarding, the resort beautifully blends fun and adventure with relaxation and seclusion. Golf enthusiasts will love the championship golf course too, whilst there’s also fantastic daily activities for children to enjoy, including treasure hunting and shell collecting.
